In this fun and funny program, acclaimed speaker and writer Ted Merwin explores the heyday of the Jewish deli, how it developed into a neighborhood institution and the representation of today’s Jewish-American delis in music, film and television.
In addition to this great program, The Jewish Community Center has partnered with Harvey & Ed’s to bring you a one night only Pop-Up Kosher Deli Buffet. Buffet dinner begins at 5:30 followed by Ted’s program “Where Harry Met Sally” at 7:00 PM. Don’t miss this special evening, sure to be “piled high” with food and fun!

3:00-4:00 PM at the Jewish Community Center
Kids will get a brief history of the Jewish Deli from Ted and will then “pile it on” creating their own deli sandwich.
Sandwiches will be judged by the Harvey & Ed’s chef team with awards for the best creations.
This event is geared for children grades 4-8.
